A Special Place
Show and tell about places in nature that were, or are, important to you. Big majestic places, or everyday places.

The Gulf Hagas Region, Maine

Who: Tom
Where: The Gulf Hagas Region, Maine

Why: Gulf Hagas, the Grand Canyon of Maine, is the place to loose your thoughts to the sound of water rushing over rocks, around river bends, and out of site into the surrounding majestic valley. This region is filled with waterfalls, old-growth white pine, remote ponds, and hiking trails linking you to the Hundred Mile Wilderness section of the Appalachian Trail. On the perfect day you can find a comfortable seat on a rock out-cropping and soak up the sun, eat a snack, and marvel at the beauty of Maine's North Woods. Truly a special place!
