Keep Coal Out of the Farm Bill
Our nation's agricultural policy should be part of the solution to global warming, not an obstacle. Unfortunately, the Farm Bill now under conference contains taxpayer handouts to Big Coal, including a measure that would enable the Rural Utilities Service to loan out high-risk loans and guarantees for building dirty new coal-fired power plants.
 Tell Congress that the Farm Bill is no place for incentives for coal.
Say No to Liquid Coal
Converting coal into liquid transportation fuels is inefficient and extremely costly. Plus, it creates fuels with double the global warming emissions as regular oil based fuels.
Take Action: Ask Congress to oppose any efforts to jumpstart a new massively polluting coal-to-liquids industry.
End Mountaintop Removal Mining & Protect Appalachia's Mountains and Streams
Mountaintop removal is the nation's most destructive form of coal mining. It causes floods, water pollution, deforestation, and habitat loss and threatens local communities.
Ask Congress to stop this devastating practice.
Tell Dominion We Need Smart Energy Solutions
Dominion's plans to build more coal-fired power plants will accelerate global warming, mountain top removal mining, construction of new transmission lines, and poisoning of our air and water.
